Helping someone to find a qualified hypnosis thereapist doesn’t have to be trial and error. Nor do you have to fear asking a friend for a reccomendation.

I came across this article that I believe can help you to do that. It also contains a resource to check out your potential hypno-therapist.

The major dilemma in deciding to pursue hypnotherapy is selecting a qualified Hypnotist.

You need to decide whether you want to work with a psychiatrist or other licensed mental health practitioner who includes hypnosis as a part of their practice, or if you want a hypnotist who uses hypnosis exclusively as a healing modality.

Psychiatrists and other licensed mental health practitioners at times use hypnosis in treating people; however certified hypnotists have more in-depth training. The psychiatrist or licensed mental health practitioner may have attended a weekend workshop and learned how to induce hypnosis but may have little or no experience in communicating with the mind in its subconscious mode.

The first question to ask anyone with whom you consider working is “Are you a certified hypnotist and by whom?” The National Guild of Hypnotherapists is the oldest and largest worldwide non-profit certifying organization cited by Congress in the Congressional Record of May 11th, 1993 as the foremost hypnosis organization in the country.

Although, one assumes all licensed professionals are highly qualified, that does not hold true with hypnosis, a licensed professional needs to be certified in hypnosis in addition to their license. Therefore, whomever you choose, be sure they are certified by a certifying institution or recognized organization and have had a minimum of 100 hours of training–not just a weekend seminar.

In addition, it is important to consider a Hypnotist, who is also a certified Regression practitioner. The reason it is important to choose a Hypnotist, who is also a certified Regression practitioner is because the root cause of your issue is more often than not rooted in your past experiences–therefore, regression to those experiences to heal the emotional issues is necessary. A certified Hypnotist has little or no training in regression work. Therefore, to have the most qualified Hypnotist make sure they are a certified Hypnotist and certified Regression practitioner.

The International Board for Regression Therapy (IBRT) Inc. as an independent examining and certifying board www.ibrt.org is the foremost regression certifying organization. Its mission is to set professional standards for practice, evaluate the preparation and qualifications of practitioners and the quality of training programs, and to issue certificates to those who pass the rigorous evaluation process. It is a not-for-profit corporation registered in New York State.

Another area to explore is how much experience the prospective therapist has had in your area of need. How long have they been in full-time practice? What are their specialties? Do they have experience in addressing the problem you want to address or in attaining the goal you want to achieve? How many clients have they treated? How many successfully?

Another question particularly helpful is “What is the law regarding the practice of hypnotherapy in your state?” In Illinois, it is PA473. The reason it is important that any prospective hypnotist know the law is because hypnotherapy must be practiced in strict conformity with it. Be suspicious of anyone who doesn’t know the limits of their practice.

Finally, if you are satisfied with the responses to all other questions, ask yourself one final question. “Am I comfortable with this person?” Attempting to work with someone who maybe highly qualified but with whom you have no rapport or with someone you don’t feel you can trust will only serve to interfere with your progress.

I believe there’s a close correlation between being under hypnosis and being asleep. If you have ever been under hypnosis you’ll know just how close it feels to being in the early stages of sleep. This is why hypnotherapy is so useful in helping people get a night of quality sleep.

The problems and the cause of the problems that cause sleep deprivation can vary greatly. Going through a particularly stressful period might only allow you to be abe to sleep three or four hours a night, or perhaps you sleep ten hours but wake up feeling like you’ve had no sleep at all. Or, perhaps just going to sleep can be a problem.

Have you ever experienced any of these situations?

Adults needs to get seven to eight hours of quality sleep a night in most cases. Any less and you will feel tired, find it hard to concentrate, struggle to make decisions and heighten the risk of suffering from depression. If you get too much sleep (more than seven to eight hours) a night can also cause problems, leaving you lethargic throughout the day.

Here’s a little background on the types of sleep and why they’re important:

Non-REM
During non-REM sleep, the brain is quiet and peaceful. The body repairs itself and releases hormones into the bloodstream, preparing itself for the day ahead. There are four stages to Non-REM sleep.
1. Pre-sleep – The muscles relax, body temperature drops and the heart beat slows.
2. Light-sleep – You can be easily awoken without feelings of confusion.
3. Slow wave sleep – Your blood pressure begins to fall.
4. Deep slow wave sleep – You are very hard to waken, when you do, you will awaken confused and groggy.

REM
REM is the deepest state of sleep and makes up for a fifth of your sleep time. During the REM stage your brain becomes very active, your body very relaxed and your eyes move around quickly. This is the sleep stage in which dreams become more vivid and easier to remember.

If you’ve ever watched someone sleeping and see their eyes moving or fluttering quickly, this shows that they’re in REM sleep.

During a night of sleep you will move between Non-REM and REM sleep around five times.

How Hypnosis Helps Where Pills Fail

I personally feel that using drugs or pills to aid in sleep isn’t a wise thing to do. It’s a short term solution to and unerlying problem and they can have pretty nasty side effects and become addictive. There is a better way. And that is the use of self hypnosis.

Hypnosis is a natural way to create deep, relaxing REM sleep and has no side affects or addictive concerns. Hypnosis can also be used to discover the problems causing sleep deprivation and help in dealing with what you discover.

How Hypnosis Works

The first thing you do is relax. Relax your body and allow your mind to be quiet. While your conscious mind is relaxed, you will then begin making suggestions to your unconscious mind instructing it to accept positive commands such as, “your eyes feel heavy”. Once this is achieved sleep will follow.

Here’ our article on How To Do Self Hypnosis It’s a step-by-step self hypnosis guide and how-to video.

The bottom line is, if you’re not getting enough sleep and you (wisely) don’t want to resort to pills or drugs, self hypnosis could be your ticket. You have nothing to lose in trying it and much to gain if you do it successfully.

Attracting money is easier than you think.

However, many people don’t do it correctly. They believe that they have to work hard in order to make money only to find that, rather than creating more money, they only create more work. But if you understand The Law of Attraction, this paradox actually makes a lot of sense.

The law of attraction dictates that whatever you focus on, manifests in your life. So if you focus all your attention on work, then more work is what the Universe is going to give you.

Attracting money really doesn’t require you to do any work at all. The universe is infinitely abundant. Money is everywhere.

To make matters worse, the people who work hard to make more money, have their focus on negative things that they need the money for. Such as paying bills, their mortgage, car payments, loans, student debt etc. This thinking usually ends with, I need to work harder. And the paradoxical cycle continues.

So how do you attract money in such a way that you don’t attract more work?

It’s actually quite simple. Attracting money properly, requires you to focus on the desire (to have more money), not what you want the money for. What you want it to help you do or have.

We already focus on money and work and meeting our needs, and look what happens. The Law of Attraction brings us money and work and meets our needs (we eat, we have shelter, and we’re not dead yet). Focus on that which we desire and the Law of Attraction will also bring us the means to attain it. It’s not an either/or situation. The universe will provide all you with anything and everything you want.

Fear of scarcity and lack cloud our ability to recognize our current state of abundance. We’re so afraid of losing what we have or of not having enough for what we need that we cling to whatever we do have. We hold on to junk and clutter our lives, which keeps us off from the free flow of infinite abundance that is our natural state. Our focus on scarcity and lack creates more scarcity and lack (what you focus on you get). Our focus on the little we do have keeps us having little.

Money is just a means to an end, if you believe money to be evil then you may be subconsciously blocking it’s flow into your life. If you believe that wealthy people are bad people, you are subconsciously keeping yourself from being a wealthy person. Removing the negative stigma you may have about money is a invaluable step in you attracting more money.

Keep in mind that everything is in motion in the universe. Disengaging from the natural flow will reinforce the illusion of scarcity and lack. Engaging in the flow is the way to attract money. So visualize and focus on what you want, instead of how to get there and pretty soon money will follow.

You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who hasn’t done some online shopping. Convenience, range of options, savings potential, no legwork – there’s plenty of practical (and indulgent) reasons for the growing popularity of online shopping.

Online sales among the top 500 retailers grew more than 11- percent in 2008 to $115.85 billion, up from $103.69 billion in 2007.

In an economic climate in which sales have plummeted for traditional shopping venues, online retail sales continue to grow.

People who rely on online shopping swear by it.

Veteran Internet purchasers have learned, often the hard way, how to avoid the problems that are sometimes associated with online shopping. However, the benefits of online shopping can far outweigh any risks if you’re armed with some knowledge and good old fashioned common sense.

In fact, millions of people shop online every day with no problems. By avoiding some of the most common mistakes made when purchasing a self-help or personal development product online, you can quickly become a savvy and safe online shopper.

Five common mistakes people make when buying a towable tube online include failure to:

1. Verify the credentials of an online shop before doing business.

2. Verify the online retailers return/refund policy.

3. Check out the retailer’s customer service accessibility and safe shopping status.

4. Qualify the retailer’s selection and competitive pricing/buyer’s guide.

5. Check out shipping options, and customer satisfaction guarantee.

When deciding to make a purchase online, you can get some practical experience under your belt in no time. You can also avoid hassles and regrets by following some simple guidelines that will pay off economically while providing all the conveniences that go with online shopping.

Following are some important deal breakers when purchasing from an online retailer:

1. Customer Service

Your first test of any online retailer should be to make sure they offer excellent customer service. From start to finish, you should be able to have your questions answered, concerns addressed and information provided with little to no effort.

It is essential that the retailer has a telephone number for customer service. If you’re new to online shopping, you might be surprised to discover how many online retailers list no telephone number for customer service (an e-mail address is often the only contact link.) Any reputable retailer will make itself available to its customers. The most reliable online sellers offer telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and even online instant messaging for customer service.

Whether you are sure you’re ready to purchase your towable tube, or if you’re simply shopping around, it’s always a good idea to make sure you are dealing with a knowledgeable and friendly sales and service staff. Pick up the phone and ask questions before placing an order. You do not want to rely on e-mail communications if you run into a problem with your towable tube order.

2. Selection, Comparison Guides, and Competitive Pricing

When choosing your towable tube, there is no reason you can’t find exactly the right one for you by shopping online. In fact, not only are you going to discover the largest selection possible on the Internet, you’re going to find the largest variety of related product categories, product reviews, and manufacturer’s descriptions. Many online retailers provide price and product comparison guides as well, so you will know exactly where the best deals can be found.

The best Internet sites will offer detailed photographs of each towable tube, along with a buyer’s guide and glossary of terms to familiarize consumers with relevant terms and information to help you make the best decision.

3. Safe Shopping Guarantees/ Order Tracking

Safe online shopping is critical; be sure to order from sites with 100-percent secure shopping and encrypted ordering – look for accredited secure shopping icons featuring Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) typically displayed at the bottom of the website page. Secure browsers will display a “lock” icon somewhere in the browser window (but not in the web page display).

Click (or double-click) on the lock icon to see the site’s security details. Make sure to test the functionality of the lock icons, as fraudulent sites will have non-working SSL icons to mislead.

Additionally, a web address that begins with “https://” tells you you’re on a secure site. The http stands for “Hyper Text Transfer Protocol” which is simply standard Web language, and the “s” stands for the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) we discussed previously.

The https in front of the URL indicates that you are in a “secure session,” another protocol developed to ensure safe, secure Internet transactions.

BBB accreditation is a plus. Also, watch for payment options that offer order tracking service. Check out the site’s privacy and security policy and determine how carefully your information is guarded before you place your order.

4. Hassle-Free Return Policy

Most likely, your online towable tube purchase will be exactly what you expected. Still, there are a myriad of reasons that an item might need to be returned, and you want to be sure your online merchant has a no-hassle return policy. Make sure you know how your order will ship and when it will arrive. Your Internet retailer should always provide you with a tracking number, and have options governing international shipping. Familiarize yourself with these policies ahead of time so that if an item needs to be returned, you’re covered.

5. 100% Satisfaction Guarantee

What more can you ask from an online retailer? Most reputable Internet merchants offer this blanket assurance that tells you you’re covered, no matter what.

Online shopping guarantees, once the domain of Internet heavy hitters like eBay and Amazon.com, have become standard for all online retailers large and small. With billions of dollars in profits at stake, any reputable seller will have a no-holds-barred, 100-percent satisfaction guarantee in place. Without it, sensible shoppers simply will move on to another site that does promise complete satisfaction. When it comes to online retail outlets, the competition for customers is fierce. As a consumer, you can and should expect guarantees and shop with only those retailers who provide them.

Just a little knowledge and common sense go long way in making your online shopping experience safe and enjoyable. When you’re ready to purchase your self-help or personal development product, there is no reason to settle for anything less than the one that’s right for you. Online retailers offer more options, prices, and information at your fingertips in minutes than you could find in a month of conventional shopping. Follow these simple guidelines and discover the many ways online purchasing can benefit you!

The Law of Intent reflects the Law of Magnetism in warning that you’ll only get a return of your own negative energy. If you’re desperate to make something happen, that repulsive vibration will push it away, turning away the very people and situations that might bring your desired outcome. Your desperation, therefore, creates the paradox-or the opposite-of your original intention, leading you to failure instead of success.

The quantum field is just another label for the field of pure consciousness or pure potentiality. And this quantum field is influenced by intention and desire. ~ Deepak Chopra

The Universe wants you to have all that you desire, and when you align yourself with the Law of Attraction, it will do everything in its power to help you on your way-but desperation and urgency will short circuit your efforts.

This isn’t because the Universe wants to prolong your yearning. In fact, just the opposite is true: It wants you to enjoy your life and engage in a different, higher vibration now-and stop waiting for some vague happiness to come in the distant future.

Your best energy happens when you let go of urgency and engage in trust, when you rid yourself of despair and choose peace in the moment insstead.

You simply can’t be happy when you’re living in dissatisfaction. When you’re obsessed with what you don’t have, you attract even more lack; you forego present contentment by setting up a list of goals that you have to have in order to be happy in the future.

In fact, until you have those things, you feel a nagging sense of unhappiness. You feel as though something’s missing, and you can’t relax until you fill that void. Instead of enjoying your life and valuing what you have, you spend your time longing for more and constantly striving to get it.

This is a very serious mistake where the laws of energy and consciousness are concerned. When you give away today’s happiness to embrace misery about tomorrow’s uncertainty, you shut down your willingness to receive. You shift from a mentality of appreciation to a consciousness of lack and need-and when you , do that, you lose your power to succeed.

This is no light matter. What happens when you filter everything you have through wanting something else? You set yourself up for failure by projecting a very unattractive energy of misery. Your need for something else to make you happy will always cause you to perceive your present situation as just not good enough.

Think about the feelings that come from obsessing about what’s wrong with your life. Despair, grief, and longing are highly charged emotions, and they attract very difficult results. This abrasive energy is what sabotages your success. It’s an irresistible force, and there’s no way to get around the power of this law. If you pump out a broadcast of despair, your efforts will only draw back desperate situations and deeper feelings of hopelessness.

The inescapable truth is that all of your feelings are charged with positive or negative vibrations. The uplifting ones create flow and wonderful results, while unhappiness creates blockage and problematic results. But you can change your emotions (and your resonance) by switching what you think and what you focus on.

You must let go of urgency and engage in thoughts of trust in order to open the doors of magnetic attraction. Shift your concentration from what you lack to all that you have to appreciate in order to create a consciousness of success.

Obsessing about what’s missing in your life actually causes you to channel your energy into missing more! And if you’re always complaining about what you don’t have, it will only create more to whine about.

You need to put your passion into the Law of Intention by experiencing how you want to feel right now so you can use the Law of Attraction to magnetize more of that sensation in the future. This is called vibrational entrainment, and it’s a must for being in harmony with this law. Think about the appreciation that you’ll have at the fruition of your goals, and choose to feel that gratitude for what you have in your life right now.

Recently I had read Dr. Wayne Dyer’s new book, the Power of Intention. In it, he gave laws that defined the powers of intention as he saw it. In this Top7 Business article, I’m going to give you my interpretation of these laws that Dr. Dyer outlined.

1. The first law of intention is to recognize the face of creativity. Creativity in business is really about innovation and creating something from nothing using the power of your mind. Creativity is in you, whether you believe me or not.

2. The face of kindness is next. Any great power that can bring energy and thought into physical form must come out of kindness. In business, this is manifested with the power of positive thinking and an intent to do good. The law of reciprocity can only reward kind intentions.

3. The face of love conquers all, even in business. Think of this power of intention as the face of kindness exponentiation with the emotion of love. When you intend for your clients, vendors, employees and investors to grow and couple that with a lack of judgement, hate, anger or resentment — more of what you want or desire in the business relationship can manifest itself without impediment.

4. The face of beauty is truth, honesty and a knowing that what “is” — is exactly as it should be. You can use this power by re-framing any negative thoughts you have towards others and replace them with an appreciate (a thankfulness attitude) towards them.

5. The face of expansion is next. This is the law and the power of spirit to help you expand your awareness of what is possible in your business life. Be open to the “knowings” that you have always had inside you that have quietly been guiding you. Listen to them.

Whatever you think about expands and it is natural to expand. To deny this truth is to deny a part of your purpose here on Earth.

6. The face of unlimited abundance is one of my favorite laws that works in the power of intention or attraction. You were probably taught all of your life about limitations and about what is “not possible.” Fortunately, this came from well-meaning people who believed in limitation and not abundance.

This law does not require you to be intellectually perfect in order to receive the benefits. Believing in unlimited abundance has no downside, so why not take another look at your business life after you answer this question, “What if I could have it all?”

7. Lastly, the face of receptivity. The universal laws of intention are open to everyone and without any judgement. Consider the application of this principle is really about believing in yourself and your ability to be open to unlimited possibilities. Banish your doubts. Focus only on your positive intentions towards others and yourself to tap into this energy.

The Law of Intention (the idea that we create our own dreams through the power of intentional manifestation) has reached a broader range of people. Once an “out there” idea, it is now a common topic of discussion, as people discover their curiosity about the mysteries of our own subconscious minds.

Being responsible for what happens in our lives is becoming a more popular concept.

Maybe our subconscious mind is playing a larger role in our reality than we once believed. Anything we plan to do in our day, pack a lunch, run an errand, make a phone call, is first played out in our mind’s eye before entering the physical world. It is possible that we are responsible for the deeper and more complicated areas of our lives; with the power of our thinking, we may be shaping our external lives.

When Napoleon Hill wrote “Think and Grow Rich” in 1937, he had studied the lives of hundreds of successful people and found that the shared thread of their riches involved exercises in affirmations and attitude that have been rewritten in many different ways since. From Shakti Gawain’s “Creative Visualization”, to the more recent explosive success of “The Secret, ” these works share the common theme of achieving one’s goals through developing a winning attitude.

This can sound overly simple, and perhaps it it. But for many, the act of taking responsibility for the results in their lives has led to personal empowerment. They have a feeling of success, however they define it. For many, it has nothing to do with material wealth; success is defined as having a full life on their own terms. Taking charge and achieving what one wants from life can be a scary idea, but when it works, it is a positive concept.

Living the good life seems out of reach for many people. What is the key that is missing? There must be more to happiness than the simplistic idea of thinking happy thoughts. If it were that easy, everyone would live the life of their dreams. Still, there is an appeal in the notion that we shape our own destiny.

Perhaps the idea of destiny, karma, soul lessons all play a part. Perhaps the idea that this is all a random roll of the dice and we are all in the game of life for no deeper meaning is the real truth. No one knows, but to create a happy life in spite of life’s ups and downs is something everyone seems to be searching for.

Maybe the key lies in learning to tap into one’s intuition, to take action based on that quiet inner voice. Maybe the key is in developing a positive attitude, even in the face of adversity. Maybe there is no key, and we’re searching for something that doesn’t exist.

Whatever the trick, mastering the art of intention manifestation is an appealing goal. Even if it teaches us nothing more than to feel better about life under any circumstance, that is a positive thing.
